This Privacy Policy describes how Sudoku - Grid Master ("the app") handles information when you use it.

 

WHAT WE COLLECT

 

The app does not require an account and does not collect any information automatically. The only data you can choose to share is:

 

• Display name — if you choose to submit a completed daily puzzle to the leaderboard, you enter a display name of your choosing. This name is not required to play the app; it is only requested if you actively tap "Submit Score."

• Puzzle results — your completion time, number of mistakes, and difficulty level for the daily puzzle you are submitting.

• A random player identifier — a unique identifier generated by the app (or, if you are signed into iCloud, tied to your iCloud account) used only to track your own leaderboard placement across days and to prevent duplicate entries. This identifier is not linked to your real name, email address, or any other personal information unless you choose to enter your real name as your display name.

 

THE DAILY LEADERBOARD IS PUBLIC

 

If you submit a score, your chosen display name, completion time, mistake count, and difficulty are shown publicly within the app's daily, monthly, and yearly leaderboards, visible to all users of the app. You are shown a clear notice before your first submission, and submitting a score is entirely optional — you can play every puzzle in the app, including the daily puzzle, without ever submitting to the leaderboard.

 

We recommend you do not use your real full name as your display name if you would prefer not to be identifiable on the public leaderboard.

 

HOW THIS DATA IS STORED

 

Leaderboard data is stored using Apple's CloudKit service. We do not operate our own servers, and we do not sell, rent, or share this data with any third party for advertising or marketing purposes.

 

WHAT WE DO NOT DO

 

• We do not show advertisements.

• We do not use third-party analytics or tracking SDKs.

• We do not collect your device's advertising identifier (IDFA).

• We do not require account creation, email address, or phone number.

• We do not collect location data.

 

DATA STORED ONLY ON YOUR DEVICE

 

Your statistics, achievements, streak history, and settings are stored locally on your device (and synced across your own devices via your personal iCloud account, if signed in). This data is never transmitted to us or to any third party.

 

CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

 

The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children. The optional display name field is the only user-provided text in the app, and no other personal information is requested at any point.

 

YOUR CHOICES

 

• You may play the app fully, including the daily puzzle, without ever submitting a score to the leaderboard.

• You may reset your local statistics at any time from Settings.

• If you would like a previously submitted leaderboard entry removed, contact us using the details below.

 

CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

 

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this same URL with a revised "Last updated" date.
